Last week, Giorgio Bonvicini and Sara Abd Alla from Italian partner RINA represented SUPER-HEERO during the 2023 International Conference on Green Building (ICoGB 2023) celebrated at Malmö University, in Malmö (Sweden).
With researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholars as its contributors, ICoGB presented an open forum aiming to raise green building awareness, spur the standards and develop practical solutions for sustainable buildings by engaging the public, the industry, and the government in the world.
SUPER-HEERO: Best Practice Award
In this international event, the SUPER-HEERO project was showcased as best practice through the paper entitled “Energy Efficiency renovation packages for European Supermarkets”. Bonvicini and Abd Alla presented this initiative in front of a wide audience of experts, in a work developed alongside prepared with Nora Ganzinelli from RINA, Cristina Barbero and Thomas Messervey from R2M Solution
In the words of Bonvicini: “As citizens, we must contribute to a better future by taking care of the environment and SUPER-HEERO could help us to take those ambitions further. Our approach to make energy efficiency closer to supermarkets will be key for Spanish and Italian retail owners, who could have better performing buildings where energy, water, and materials will be used in a more sustainable way”.
